Foundation Safety and Rescue Training
The Foundation Safety and Rescue – FSRT Training course is designed to provide paddlers with the key safety and rescue skills when on the water and when coaching. It is designed to inform paddlers safe ways to operate and deal with common emergencies and rescues either of themselves and others. The course typically lasts for around eight hours of the day and will feature indoor theory, outdoor practical, in and out the water (boat & bank based) scenarios.
Before booking on to the course please ensure you meet the pre-requisites. You should be able to swim in normal paddle clothing, it is recommended to have a first aid course certificate, you must be a minimum of a paddle explore award (old two star standard) of ability.
